Written by American author and dedicated abolitionist Harriet Beecher Stowe Uncle Toms Cabin is a poignant novel which shows the harsh reality of a slaves life in the 1800s Uncle Tom an African American slave who believes in the power of Christian faith The book would be a major contributor to the Civil War because its compelling portrayal This book is large in size but most importantlyit is the real book I have selected various pages in a 1938 edition to compare to the pages in this book and they are the same It doesn't appear to have been altered as some other publishers have chosen to do It also has approximately 8 illustrations in it as well Sadly though the publisher decided not to include the Introduction Preface or ending Concluding Remarks I would be happy to email a copy of these pages to whoever would like to have them These portions are full of information and details of the time when the book was written What a wonderful meaningful book

Uncle Tom's Cabin With Original 1852 Illustrations by Hammett BillingsOf slaves as fellow human beings left little room for compromise if slaves were indeed human then no justification for slavery was possibleWhile this tale is heavy with the suffering of slavery its strong characters and their songs show the resilience of those with love for God and how that love can overcome even the worst conditions Being Fascinating that I never read this book before and I am glad I read it now I am catholic and growing up we never studied the Old Testament and we were always reminded of slavery and how bad it was So reading this book was like when I discovered the other books of the Bible I will say this for sure the media is wrong and you liberal know it alls are freaking wrong again The term Uncle Tom is misused and abused by whites blacks and the rest of ya'lz Sambo is who you all think you are referring to Most of you ignoramus's are just throwing this stuff out there and you never read the book Just like Coma Harris and her Lincoln story ? WTF was she talking about? I even knew she was wrong when she stated that silly story She must have skipped a lot of steps to get to her position in life or was it the positions she chose with Slick willy that got her there?
