Scarlett Undercover doc ↠ ebook read ¿ [PDF / Epub] ☀ Scarlett Undercover By Jennifer Latham – Dcmdirect.co.uk A voice driven mystery perfect for fans of Veronica MarsMeet Scarlett a smart sarcastic kick butt Muslim American heroine ready to take on crime in her hometown of Las Almas When a new case finds the A voice driven mysCase finds the private eye caught up in a centuries old battle of evil genies and ancient curses Scarlett discovers that her own family secrets may have to do with the situation than This is great Scarlett is a Muslim American girl who takes on a case to solve a mystery of why 9 year old Gemma's brother started acting so weird before and following the death of his best friend uinn It's than what it seems; what looks like a suicide isn't It's instead an intricate thrill ride about magic jinn and ancient curses and how a group of teens got caught up in them Scarlett's own heritage plays a big part in all of this and it's deliciously well doneBut what's the knock out in this book is Scarlett's voice It's so delightfully teenage and snarky without feeling like it tries too hard to be either of them This is very much in the style of Veronica Mars and that's not a bad thing This isn't a knock off or a wanna be; it's a read alike In many ways it reminded me of Gemma Halliday's Deadly CoolSocial Suicide books which would make this an excellent next read The romance which emerges is not at the forefront of the story at all and it's a refreshing rewarding and earned ending Readers who love realistic mysteries with badass female heroines who crave diversity and who want a hint of magic and cultural history woven together will do no wrong with this one There is a bit of violence near the end of the book so it might not necessarily be the best choice for the younger set of readers though if they can handle it there's absolutely nothing to hold them back from this

Jennifer Latham õ Scarlett Undercover text

She thinks and that cracking the case could lead to solving her father's murderJennifer Latham delivers a compelling story and a character to remember in this one of a kind debut novel i disliked most everything about this book the writing the secondary people which you didn't get to feel much the main character the couple of arabic sentences which were there so the story would have an exotic feel to it the islam which was pretty strange brand that i have not seen at all probably made up by a fantasy writer the story ah the romance angle really disliked it did read itskim it till the end so i had hopes that maybe it would get better for me it didn't i think if i had stopped midway and hadn't continued till the end i might have given it 2 stars right now i am so disappointed with my choice and so want my lovely time back that if i could i would have given it a half a star
