The Peaceful Lion And The Nagging CrowEssed in this inspirational uote of Don Miguel Ruiz “Don't Take Anything Personally Nothing others do is because of you What others say and do is a projection of their own reality their own dream When you are immune to the opinions and actions of others you won't be the victim of needless suffering” – Don Miguel RuizThis well written and inspiring story delivers easy to digest education complemented by vibrant delightful illustrations This story may be ideal for reading to your kids at bedtime and enjoyable for the whole family as well It is suitable as a read aloud book for preschoolers or a self read book for older children This children's book feature Kindle Text Pop Up for reading text over vivid full color images double tap on the text Scroll up and grab your copy toda. This story took a very interesting approach to choosing to be happy rather than choosing to be angry especially when other people are trying to make you angry The Lion compares all the Nagging Crow's attempts to annoy him to gift giving basically saying the Crow was trying to give him a gift of anger but the Lion refused it so it was the Crow that got angry insteadOf all the analogies I've read in Assaf Marcus' stories I think this analogy might take the most explaining for children to understand because the idea of annoying someone being similar to giving them a gift is pretty uniue and different But it certainly makes one pause and see the ability to choose being happy or angry in a new light This story will be a fun and charming read for kids and I applaud Marcus for his originality in storytelling

Up to this point I have read 4 other children’s books by the remarkable author Assaf Marcus All of them I have thoroughly loved giving a 5 star rating So I must admit when I read The Peaceful Lion and the Nagging Crow I was a little disappointed This book did not have the same energy and feel to it as all the others thus my 4 star ratingIn the story we are introduced to the calm centered lion Upon seeing him the nagging crow becomes determined to anger him by any means possible At first he repeats everything the lion does However it is to no avail So the crow ramps up his game to antagonize the lion by playing loud music making silly faces and making loud noises Still receiving no response from the lion the crow decides to seek him out to learn the secret of his peace and calmNow don’t get me wrong it is a fine story And as always has an important lesson to teach Peace and calm come from the inside – don’t let others affect your happiness Overall Assaf Marcus is a very talented children’s author and his other books are exceptional – perhaps I was spoiled by reading them first But this one just lacked the usual spark that I had become accustomed to
