Introduction to Loudspeaker Design: Second Edition ↠ Easurement The crossover design chapter has been expanded to include formulas for calculating component values for the most popular crossover types Euations have been added for calculating impedance compensation and attenuation networks The old Chapter FA material was integrated into other chapters as appropriate A new Chapter titled “Loudspeaker Simulation” has been added and introduces loudspeaker euivalent circuit analysis with euations for calculating the magnitude and phase responses of closed and vented loudspeaker systems Additional design euations are introduced and then examples are given for calculating the responses of a closed box and a vented box loudspeaker Detailed design euation summaries are given for closed and vented boxes Appendix C was added to provide a glossary of symbols and a glossary of terms The box type charts were moved to Appendix. Good thorough guide which benefits from the Author's extensive experience Sensible balance of technical right size a box and slap in some drivers I don't think this is the book for you If you want to understand the key principles & considerations in design well enough to make your own decisions on what you want out of building your speakers this is a readable way to get there I keep on using it now as a reference
