That's a thingThe worst example is when the main character tries to convince his friend to keep a monster as a pet After the friend declines the character says uint I hear you telling me no But I think I'm pretty sure your eyes are telling me yes And then he takes the monster into the house That's the stereotypical line leading up to date rape so why is it showing up in boys' literature right in the middle of the Me Too era? If it goes to a second print maybe the publisher can edit this kind of stuff out Otherwise it's a great series for boys
