KINDLE Ú Real Friends â Shannon Hale

Real FriendsHonest and heartfelt story reminds us of how hard it was to learn what real friends are and why finding them is worth the journey This was an recommendation and I mistook the cover art for that other series my kid likes She’s enjoying the book and showed me some parts she identified with I think it’s valuable for a girl to know these social problems are so common But as we’re flipping through I’m randomly seeing a smiley Jesus in robes whispering to this kid in her times of trial maybe It’s just not something I expected

Shannon Hale â Real Friends BOOK

Friendship from navigating the tricky waters of cliues and bullies to her never ending struggle to stay in 'The Group' Shannon's A neighbor told me about this book bc her daughter struggles with anxiety so I bought it wo reading reviews My 10 yr old daughter read it twice before I had the chance to read it with her I was surprised at all the drama in the story and also to the references to Heavenly Father & Jesus I want my daughter to solve her own problems rather than pray to a God to fix her problems I agree with several other reviewers I also did not like the talk about wanting to die to makes the icky feelings go away I live in UT where teen suicide continues to rise The book gave us some talking points but this is not the way I teach my kids This book is not a keeper in our family library
